#TBT to Innercity 2004 & Club Revolution

My ‪#‎tbt‬ goes back to Innercity 2004 and the legendary DJ booth at Club Revolution , where I was a weekly resident and played 14 hour marathon sets every Friday, Saturday and Sunday! I remember being a huge fan of *Deep Dish and they had just released their track “Flash Dance.” At that time, I spent all of my money buying vinyls. Not even clothes or food. Who needs clothes when you can buy great new records? That was my motto! I always borrowed clothes from my boss Peter Gelderblom. I never got to out and party because I always had to DJ at Club Revolution, but this time I decided to go to Intercity no matter what. This was crazy for my boss because I hadn’t had a weekend off since 1995!

But because all of my heroes were there, Deep Dish, Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, and Josh Wink, I had to be there! I remember David Guetta played a small stage called “Ex Pornstar.” I also remember CDJs had just become popular, and I saw DJ Sharam throwing turntables on the ground. It made me a little sad – but he was embracing the future!

11 years ago, that night opened my eyes and inspired me to start producing. I decided I wanted to see the world and perform for huge crowds. I just want to say I’m thankful for everything in my life and grateful to be able to do so many things today.
